Receiving Donor Eggs
Prior to being accepted into the Conceptions Donor Egg Program, all donors must undergo extensive physical and psychological screening. Donor qualification criteria include appropriate age and weight, plus a three-generation family history and complete medical records showing no signs of genetic disorders, substance abuse or sexually transmitted disease.
Our anonymous donors represent a wide range of ethnic backgrounds. Detailed, non-identifying information about your donor is available for you to review. Throughout the process, confidentiality is strictly maintained for both the donor and recipient.
During a typical cycle, eggs are retrieved from the donor and then fertilized in the laboratory with the recipient's partner's sperm. The resulting healthy embryos are then transferred to the recipient's uterus.
