Infertility is stressful, and can become of the most difficult life crises a couple ever has to face. The inability to conceive a child can create considerable feelings of loss. When these feelings are combined with the demands and uncertainties of treatment, it is not uncommon to feel emotionally out of control.
While pursuing infertility treatment, it is normal to cycle through emotional highs and lows, including periods of feeling overwhelmed. However, if you experience extreme sadness that doesn’t lessen over time, and a loss of interest in your normal activities, you may benefit from working with a mental health professional.
Our Mind/Body program focuses on the relationship between the physical, psychological, social and spiritual aspects of one’s life as it relates to fertility. Mind/Body helps you manage the stress of fertility issues through counseling, proper nutrition, and helpful alternative therapies like acupuncture and hypnosis. Mind/Body reduces stress and may increase the odds of conceiving.
