Contact Conceptions by Phone or Email (Contact Us Page), then:
-
From the Conceptions Reproductive Associates website, print off and complete the New Patient Information packet and return it to CRA within (2) weeks before your scheduled appointment. Please include all records from previous OB/GYN and/or reproductive endocrinologist.
-
You will have the option of setting up a face to face initial consultation with a physician at one of our 3 locations or for your convenience you may choose to do a phone consultation. The phone consultation is not billable to insurance and the scheduler will ask to obtain your credit card information before booking the phone consultation.
-
After your initial consultation, your physician will fill out a set of orders for your IVF or Donor Egg cycle. Your nurse will contact you to set up the necessary testing and consults for your cycle. These may include but are not limited to the following:
-
A baseline antral follicle count.
-
A sonohysterogram or office hysteroscopy.
-
A trial embryo transfer.
-
Blood work to include but not limited to: TSH, FT4, PRL, MTHFR, AMH, Factor V, Factor II, AT3, LAC and ACA. If these blood tests have been performed elsewhere within 6 months prior to becoming a patient at CRA, we will accept those along with other previous records and unless there is a specific problem, you will not be required to repeat these.
-
Male partners may be required to do a semen analysis. Exceptions to this include the use of donor sperm or a previous semen analysis within 6 months prior to treatment at CRA.
-
A face to face consult with the physician. This is required.
-
A consultation with the business office to discuss the financial aspect of your cycle. You will receive specific payment dates and a breakdown of costs for your cycle at this consult.
-
A consultation with one of the embryologists you will be working with during your IVF or Donor Egg cycle.
-
A consultation with your IVF or Donor Egg Nurse Coordinator – at this appointment we will discuss consent forms, a calendar for your cycle, we will order medications and go over specific mixing and administration instructions.
-
It is possible to schedule all of these needed procedures and consults on the same day at the Littleton Campus of CRA. Exceptions may need to be made based on your insurance coverage; however, your IVF or Donor Egg Nurse Coordinator will do their best to accommodate your schedule.
-
There are 2 sets of ultrasound and blood work appointments with your IVF or Donor Egg cycles: Day 2 and Day 6. These requirements can be met in your home state only if same day results are available. Your nurse will make certain all orders for blood and ultrasounds are faxed to the appropriate providers prior to your appointments.
-
You will need to be in Denver for ultrasounds and blood work by Day 8 of your cycle. You will be asked to remain in Denver for all appointments and procedures through the time of retrieval. The decision will be up to you whether or not to remain in Denver after retrieval up to the point of transfer. Please understand, in most cases, we will be unsure of the exact transfer date until (2) days after your egg retrieval. You may return home after the day of your embryo transfer.
-
Blood work requirements post transfer may be completed in your home state. Your nurse will issue appropriate orders you will need to provide to your local physician. It is extremely important to locate a facility that can provide us with same day results for your blood draws.
-
It is preferred that your first ultrasound once pregnant is performed in Denver. However, if this is not possible, we will help you coordinate an alternative plan.
