My name is Jen, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice hyper-specializing in reproductive mental wellness. This means the majority of my clients are having trouble getting pregnant, experiencing infertility, loss/miscarriage/stillbirth, postpartum concerns, and more. I transitioned to focusing almost exclusively on reproductive mental wellness after experiencing my own infertility and losses. Although I have not experienced exactly what you have, I can relate, and have a vast understanding of the medical terminology and the emotional roller coaster that reproductive and loss issues can create.

During counseling sessions, I listen closely to what you are struggling with, and together we work on ways to improve your thought processes, stress and anxiety levels, decision making, relationships, and anything else that may arise. I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (cognitive restructuring), as well as Mind Body Stress Reduction techniques and coping skills. During third-party consultations, I walk you through the process of utilizing donor gametes or a GC, and provide you with the most recent knowledge and resources in the field.

Most importantly, I have extensive training in the field. I am a member of the Mental Health Professional Group (MHPG) of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) where I have volunteered for numerous committees. I worked at a world-renowned fertility center for many years where I completed consultations with recipients (utilizing donor sperm, donor egg, a combo of the two, and donor embryo), as well as intended parents (utilizing gestational carriers). I have also evaluated many egg donors and gestational carriers. I am also the author of the book In Due Time: A Journey Through Infertility, Loss, and Embracing the Unknown.
