Aimee Ferrandino
MD, FACOG
Dr. Aimee Ferrandino is a board certified OB/GYN with a special interest in Reproductive health. “I have been practicing as an Asst. Professor at Duke University Medical Center for the past 15 years; focusing on early pregnancy management.” Her experience motivated her to refocus her interest on the diagnosis and management of infertility and prompting her to join the team at Conceptions Reproductive Associates. While at Duke, Dr. Ferrandino helped train many generations of Ob/Gyn residents. She is a skilled laparoscopic surgeon and a staunch patient advocate. She is described by her peers as a compassionate, devoted, talented surgeon and skilled clinician.
Education
Dr. Ferrandino was born and raised in New York. She comes from a family of educators and lawyers. She was the first in her family to pursue Medicine. “I was always fascinated by the sciences; particularly Human Biology.” She completed her undergraduate degree, Suma Cum Laude at Binghamton University in Biology with an emphasis in Genetics. She received her medical degree at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Ferrandino completed her ObGyn residency at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island, New York. She brings years of experience in genetics and experience in Minimally Invasive Surgery to the Conceptions team.
Why Colorado
Dr. Ferrandino met her husband at NYU School of Medicine. After completing their residencies, they relocated to North Carolina and started a family. “After 15 years in NC, we have decided to make Colorado our home. This was an important decision for our family. Michael’s siblings and their families live in Denver. We wanted our children to grow up with their cousins. In addition, the sheer natural beauty, healthy lifestyle and city living Denver has to offer is unparalleled.” Dr. Ferrandino also considered Colorado as a state that values women and reproductive rights. “It was extremely important to me to live in a state where women’s health, reproductive choice, and individual decisions are paramount.”
New Endeavors
Dr. Ferrandino joined the Conceptions team in August 2022. “Conceptions was the right fit for me. It was evident from the initial discussions, that this was where I belonged in the next phase of my career. The compassionate care, team approach, and commitment to success were exceptionally appealing. In addition, I know I have a lot to offer including my surgical skills and clinical acumen.”
In her spare time, Dr. Ferrandino loves to be outside and marvel at the mountains. “My kids are getting sick of me saying - look at those mountain views!” She enjoys healthy meal prepping, exercising, spending time with her husband, 2 kids and 2 dogs.
